About Dr. Sorce

Dr. Sorce has been in private practice for more than 18 years. He began his career in Hillsdale, MI where he served as the team physician for Hillsdale College, as well as the Director of Rehabilitation Services at Hillsdale Hospital. In 2007, Dr. Sorce moved his practice to Canton, MI where he has been involved in the Wayne State University Orthopedic Residency program. He has also served on multiple hospital committees including the Medical Executive Committee and Physician Quality Control Committee. He held the position of Chair of the Operating Room Committee from 2012-2015. Dr. Sorce is able to manage all aspects of his patients’ care by serving as the Medical Director for several physical therapy offices, as well as serving as the Orthopedic director for a skilled nursing / rehab facility. His specialty allows him to provide minimally invasive procedures that allow patients to return to a previous level of activity with shorter recovery and less rehab than traditional approaches to surgery. Dr. Sorce has attended and spoken at several conferences allowing him to stay up to date on the latest implants and techniques. He has been serving in the East Tennessee area for the last 18 months.

Outside of his surgical interests, Dr. Sorce enjoys fishing, hunting, flying his airplanes, and spending time with his family. He is an accomplished pilot with over 1400 hours of flight experience. He holds special ratings for flying complex, high performance aircraft as well as Instrument flight ratings for single and multi-engine airplanes. He has had the opportunity to travel all over the world to pursue his hunting passion, including France, Africa, Canada, Argentina, Russia, and many other destinations in the United States.
